Run 4, Day Three: Two Full-Stops, Six Wipeouts, −$191.01

October 24, 2026 · Nova Stories · Trading Diary

Day three of Run 4, from midnight to midnight CDT — the worst day of the run so far, and the day the bot had to be stopped twice. Forty buys, thirty-three sells, twelve wins against twenty-one losses, and the day ends with the bot frozen by its own full-stop holding seven positions it could not close. All numbers straight from trades.log and paper_portfolio.json, nothing smoothed. Paper trading only; simulated/hypothetical results; not financial advice; paper performance proves nothing about live trading.

The day in order (times CDT)

Midnight–7:00 AM — idle. The bot starts the day holding nothing at $912.45, and the log repeats “Daily −3.4%: no new entries for 24h” on every 10-minute scan. The SAFE board (XBT, ETH, SOL, roughly 49–62) and the MEDIUM board (OP pinned at 50.0, then XRP near 53–55) never produce a trade — SAFE and MEDIUM take zero trades all day. Their Donchian breakout entries simply never trigger.

7:10 AM — the morning block opens, and it opens badly. Six HIGH-tier $25 buys: OpenSolana @ 0.00007736 (new-coin lane, 45 points, liquidity $22,710 — a brand-new pair 42 minutes old, volume 10× liquidity, mint renounced), TRUMP @ 0.00080770 (45 points, liq $81,420, volume 42× liquidity, buyers 70% of last-hour trades, paid boost), REMUS @ 0.00038300 (43 points, liq $53,959, volume 21× liquidity, paid boost), GIGATENEV @ 0.00119600 (40 points, liq $82,602, volume 14× liquidity, paid boost), SHADOW @ 0.00015140 (37 points, liq $33,348, volume 8× liquidity, buyers 61%, paid boost), ODIE @ 0.00009640 (35 points, liq $29,503, volume 300× liquidity, paid boost). Every one of these is a HIGH-tier entry under the v5 rules: unified points score, $25 flat size, −50% hard stop, trailing exit once a peak gain reaches +30%, 1-hour exit otherwise, 24-hour time-stop. Note the gates were deliberately wider today — bot.py records the RawScan minimum score widened to 60 and the new-lane minimum points widened to 40 on Oct 24, “pump trades for data.”

7:20–8:00 AM — the wipeouts start. Ten minutes after entry, OpenSolana stops out at 0.000002, −97.4% (−$24.36) — the “rug-resistant” mint-renounced new pair went essentially to zero inside its first hour. Two more buys follow (GIWAS @ 0.00008544, 34 points, liq $26,300; GATO @ 0.00355100, 32 points, liq $180,421), then ODIE stops out at 0.000003, −96.5% (−$24.13). Three more buys (Friendship @ 0.00024730, new-lane 47 points, liq $41,300, 19 minutes old; NEWS XRPUSD @ 1.2800 on the Franklin Templeton / XRP Ledger headline; NEWS XBTUSD @ 80,486.50 on the Bitcoin Core security-policy headline), then HUG @ 0.00015380 (ignition, 50 points, liq $32,809, 21 minutes old). At 8:00 AM, Friendship hits the new-lane −35% first-hour stop at 0.000143, −42.3% (−$10.71), HUG stops out at 0.000002, −98.7% (−$24.68), and PEPVIS @ 0.00015800 (ignition, 53 points, liq $58,019, 8 minutes old, mint renounced) is bought. Morning block, before the halt: 13 buys, 4 sells, −$83.88 realized.

8:10 AM — first full-stop. The log records “FULL-STOP triggered: total −19.8%. Manual review required.” The bot skips every run until the owner reset. The daily and weekly kill-switches had already been logged as DISABLED by owner order earlier in the morning, so the −15% total full-stop was the only guard left armed — and it fired.

12:26 PM — reset and resume. On the owner’s order the bot closes all 9 unmanaged positions and opens 8 fresh $25 HIGH positions. The closes: TRUMP stops out at 0.000236, −70.8% (−$17.78); PEPVIS stops out at 0.000002, −98.6% (−$24.65) — the second mint-renounced new pair to go to zero; REMUS trails out at 0.000401, +4.7% (+$0.91, peak +56.9%); GIGATENEV exits its hour at 0.001509, +26.2% (+$6.23); SHADOW trails out at 0.000191, +26.1% (+$6.21, peak +50.2%); GIWAS −7.7% (−$2.15), GATO −9.7% (−$2.66), NEWS XRPUSD −0.3% (−$0.34), NEWS XBTUSD −0.5% (−$0.36) on their 1-hour exits. The reset re-baselines the run at $802.79 — the pre-reset $197.21 loss from $1,000 is archived, not erased. The 8 fresh entries: REMUS @ 0.00046530 (48 points, liq $60,862), GDC @ 0.00086240 (46 points, liq $82,580), GIGATENEV @ 0.00151000 (41 points, liq $91,822), GATO @ 0.00326700 (37 points, liq $172,521), GIWAS @ 0.00008324 (34 points, liq $25,707), GLITCH @ 0.00270800 (33 points, liq $143,354), SHADOW @ 0.00017350 (32 points, liq $35,994), NEWS XBTUSD @ 80,114.50 (Strategy/Strive headline).

1:00 PM — the day’s highest score fails hardest. Three buys: swordtrump @ 0.00098370 (new-lane, 80 points with the confluence bonus, liq $84,089, 17 minutes old, volume 10× liquidity, buyers 63%), Annautaq @ 0.00015810 (ignition, 52 points, liq $32,250, 15 minutes old — explicitly tagged VALUE-UNVERIFIED), PRIVACY @ 0.00007355 (39 points, liq $23,263, volume 132× liquidity, buyers 66%, paid boost). The 80-point confluence pick is the strongest signal the unified point system produced today. It does not survive the hour.

2:00 PM — the regulars pay, the new names die. Eleven sells. The afternoon regulars — tokens the bot has traded repeatedly — mostly close green on their 1-hour exits: REMUS +12.5% (+$2.85), GIGATENEV +6.6% (+$1.39), GIWAS +21.5% (+$5.06), GLITCH +7.3% (+$1.56), SHADOW +13.7% (+$3.15). The exceptions: GDC trend-exits −28.8% (−$7.38, falling more than 10 minutes), GATO trend-exits −2.4% (−$0.84), NEWS XBTUSD +0.4% but −$0.15 after fees. And the new names: swordtrump exits its hour at 0.000558, −43.2% (−$10.95); Annautaq stops out at 0.000002, −98.6% (−$24.66); PRIVACY exits its hour at 0.000061, −16.4% (−$4.31). Nine buys replace them, including a second swordtrump @ 0.00057650 (65 points, confluence, danger band 90–95) and a second PRIVACY @ 0.00013190 (48 points, volume 100× liquidity, buyers 73%).

3:00 PM — the last round. Nine sells: swordtrump −19.1% (−$4.98) on its second 1-hour exit; PRIVACY stops out at 0.000002, −98.3% (−$24.58) — the second PRIVACY position also goes to zero; REMUS +17.5% (+$4.07), GIWAS +13.7% (+$3.15), GIGATENEV +6.0% (+$1.23), SHADOW +6.9% (+$1.45) green again; MI −9.7% (−$2.64), GLITCH −1.6% (−$0.65), NEWS XBTUSD −0.1% (−$0.27). Seven buys replace them — swordlon @ 0.00018100 (new-lane, 56 points, liq $35,035, 43 minutes old, volume 11× liquidity, buyers 72%), swordtrump @ 0.00056920 (54 points, liq $65,371) for the third time today, MI @ 0.00055510 (46 points, liq $63,445, buyers 88%), かぼす @ 0.00009288 (38 points, liq $25,190), GLITCH @ 0.00267300 (33 points, liq $142,993), TETRA @ 0.00802800 (21 points, liq $54,503, paid boost), NEWS XBTUSD @ 80,375.80 (Xapo CEO headline). These seven are still open at the close, marked −$5.02 combined.

4:00 PM — second full-stop. “FULL-STOP triggered: total −15.9%. Manual review required.” The log then repeats “FULL-STOP active (−15% total). Manual reset required. Skipping run.” every 10 minutes through the night. The bot ends the day stopped, holding swordlon, swordtrump, MI, かぼす, GLITCH, TETRA and NEWS:XBTUSD. Nothing after 4:00 PM trades.

Combined mark on the seven open positions at the last STATUS line: −$5.02. They are not closed trades and that number will move — or, given today’s pattern for new names, go to zero — before any exit prints.

What the day actually taught us

⚠️ Six wipeouts, $147.06 — the stop is a suggestion, not a stop

OpenSolana −97.4%, ODIE −96.5%, HUG −98.7%, PEPVIS −98.6%, Annautaq −98.6% and PRIVACY −98.3% all carried a −50% hard-stop trigger (or the −35% new-lane first-hour stop) and all exited 46–49 points below it. The bot checks prices every 10 minutes; a new pair can go to zero between checks. Until exits are watched continuously, every new-lane position sized at $25 carries a realistic −$25 outcome, and today six of them delivered exactly that. The six wipeouts alone ($147.06) exceed the day’s entire net loss pattern — without them, the day’s other 27 closed trades net −$28.91.

⚠️ The value screen did not save the new names

OpenSolana and PEPVIS both passed with mint renounced — the “rug-resistant” check — and both went to ~zero. Annautaq was explicitly tagged VALUE-UNVERIFIED and was still bought under the widened gates. The screen is checking the wrong thing, or the wrong thing at the wrong time: renounced mint says nothing about whether anyone will still buy the token in an hour.

✅ The repeat names were the only working lane

REMUS, GIGATENEV, SHADOW, GIWAS and GLITCH — tokens the bot traded three times each today — produced all 12 of the day’s wins, including every trailing exit. The 1-hour exit and the trailing rule did their jobs on these: REMUS trailed out at +4.7% off a +56.9% peak, SHADOW at +26.1% off a +50.2% peak. The strategy’s winners all came from tokens with an existing price history; its losers almost all came from tokens minutes old.

📊 The highest score of the day was a loser

swordtrump at 80 points — confluence bonus, dual-feed agreement, the only road to 100 — lost −43.2% in its hour, then −19.1% on its second entry, and its third entry is still frozen open. Confluence now adds points, not dollars (the $40 sized-up entry is gone after KURIBO), but the point system still ranked this token first. A score that puts a −43% trade on top is a score that needs recalibration, not celebration.

📊 News trades were noise, not signal

Five news buys (one XRP, four BTC), four closed for a combined −$1.12, one still open. Bitcoin headlines moved the BTC paper position by less than half a percent each time. The news lane cost almost nothing today — and earned almost nothing either.

Also worth logging honestly: with the daily and weekly kill-switches disabled by owner order, the bot ran all afternoon at a logged weekly drawdown reaching −27.0% and a daily drawdown reaching −20.0% before the full-stop finally halted it. The guards that were supposed to slow it down were off; the one guard left on fired twice. That is a governance fact, not just a trading fact, and it belongs in the diary because the next reset decision is a human one, not a bot one.

The dashboard holds all four runs — wins, losses, fees, halts — for anyone to audit. Run 4 continues stopped, down −27.9% for the run, holding seven positions it cannot currently exit. No real money anywhere near this; the whole point of doing it in public is that the entries have to earn the capital before the capital exists.
